Marketing strategy
a) Primary and secondary market
Possibly target ethnic markets, big consumers of food supplements (Caribbean, African, Indian).
Guayapi do not identify for the moment other segmentation for future consumers. It is a bit hard for them at the moment to find enough clients who are such interested in those products for others.
b) Product strategy
We want to create a dynamic design more attractive for young people. The packaging of the product is very important and young people are sensitive to design and innovation when older people could like things more traditional.
As seen on the picture, Guayapi’s package focuses on medical benefits. We would like to change this marketing. Our recommendations are to promote younger and innovative products.
We are inspired by one of our competitors Lush that is making younger product with fashion face.
We would like to create new names for products, that referred to what people have when using the product like “get stronger” to help people understand faster what is the aim of the product.
As a last recommendation for the product, we think it is important to highlight exclusive components of our products.
c) Pricing strategy
We realized that the price of Guayapi’s product is really high, linked to the scarcity of the principal element, Warana, which is imported from distant countries.
That for, realizing that the price of one product couldn’t be decreased, we thought about doing pa special package integrating a given selection of product. Then, this offer become a package promotion and the price of each products is lower than buying it alone.
