Martin Luther King didn’t only focus his attention on a single aspect of social progress but dedicated his life’s work using his ambition that focused on making a difference. He not only fought against aspects of racism, but also war (Vietnam) and economic equality within the United States.

And King's conviction that in doing's God will we can progress and that our world can become a better place.

Martin Luther king most famous speech titled I have a dream was an act to encourage the passing of the bill that enabled African Americans equal rights and it prohibited racial discrimination in public places, calling for equal opportunity for both employment and education.

It’s an example of social progress because it helps the African Americans have access to rights equivalent to those that the white people of the time had. It helps change American society, slowly but surely, until we see major impacts occurring as a result, for example; in 2008 when the first black president of USA (Barack Obama) is elected. It can be called social progress because there was an example of strong inequality and somebody (MLK) tried to change it. The 200, 000 Americans that marched with MLK Jr in a protest for equality not only brought benefits to the lives of themselves, but also helped to inspire a nation into changing its prior beliefs on racial discrimination.

MLK was very catholic and it helps him to persevere in his fight and he didn’t change only the status of African American, he made an entire society evolve.
