Introduction -

        The Pyramid of Giza is the most impressive structure in all of the world, during the the time of the Ancient Egypt. Even nowadays we admire this awe-striking monument

The pyramid of Giza was built by the fourth dynasty Emperor Khufu, as a glorified grave for him, the pyramid stood as the tallest manmade monument for more than 3 millennia and is the only one of the 7 wonders of the old world that is still standing to this day. A pyramid took a lot of resources and energy to build, the only reason that the building of the pyramids were initiated is because Egypt was the leading power in the world at that time with a stable economy and excessive riches garnered by trade.

The emperor Khufu is not well recorded and the main reason that he is well known is because he was the source of the building of the pyramid of Giza, he ruled around 2589-2566 BC however different sources have different lengths of reign. Khufu was named after Khnum, the god of earth and creation which probably led him to believe he was a divine creator fashioned after the deity himself which might have prompted the building of the pyramid of Giza.

        The only completely preserved portrait on the Emperor Khufu is a 3 inch statue that was found in a temple ruin of later period at Abydos in 1903. One thing that is very defined is the lack of the Pharaonic ceremonial beard.

Within the overall complex of the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza near Cairo in Egypt, a total of five pyramids exist. One, of course, is the primary pyramid of Khufu, and the second is its cult pyramid. The other three, frequently called the Queen's Pyramids, are situated on the main pyramid's eastern side, to the south of his mortuary temple and outside of the main enclosure wall. At that point of time, a polygamy for kings and emperors were extremely common and as such, three Queen pyramids were built.

The great pyramid of Giza was built in 2580-2560 by the egyptian. This pyramid is one of the only pyramid in the world that is still mostly intact. It was built with around 2.3 million blocks that were from different materials: first they approximately used 5.5 million tonnes of limestone, then they approximately used 8000 tonne of granite, and finally they approximately used 500,000 tonnes of mortar. It is the biggest and the oldest structure in the Giza complex. The Giza complex, is composed of: five pyramids, all of different sizes, the great Sphinx, cemeteries and also a workers village. The pyramid is one of the seven Wonders of the Ancient World. That status really shows what it is worth, because it was chosen between a lot of different building around the world. What made it enter this record is not it architecture, because even though it is really tall and an enormous realisation that took a lot of time to build, they are not a lot of details on the face, and the construction can be interpreted as not pushed as far as what the Greek could do for example. The real reason why it is in this record, is because of all of the mysteries that seem to surround it. At this point in time, we still do not have a real explanation of how did they build a complex monument.

The pyramid of Giza has a complex structure. From the outside, it does not seem very interesting, apart from the fact that it is gigantic and probably the one of the most complete and magnificent building humans ever built. But once you enter the pyramid, there is a really complicated interior. It is really hard to know where to go once you live the surface, because there are no way to navigate .They are no architectural plans of inside the pyramid. This could explain why it is so hard to find the exit. It is said that if someone enters and walk in the pyramid alone, without a guide to help them, they will never be able to get out of there alive.
