The Great Depression

The great dipression:Though the United States of America is a world power and a leading nation which is an example of development and progress, it went through a period which no one can forget and still managed to come out of it shining and stronger than ever. That period was the period of Great Depression which started in 1929 and was over with the World War II. Officially the great depression started on a Tuesday which is called as ‘Black Tuesday’ for the obvious reasons.

These two first pictures are showing the immediate result of the Great Depression that started on Black Friday when the stock market crashed. People were jobless and they were not able to support their family because they have no money. They had to rely on government aid which was so little that they barely had any basic food for living. People who were homeless did not have a safe and warm place to live in. They have to face the cold winter outisde in the cold or on the street, and government up to that point still didn’t do much to help those poor or unemployed people. Great Depression caused more people to be jobless and homeless.

on the third picture,we can see that all the population was affected by this disaster! These kids are protesting,as their parents,placards in hands in wish we can read slogans as «why can't you give my dad a job»... it is all the more touching to see little kids in this sad situation ,while they supposed to be at school.
