Character Analysis (Bunny)

Character: Bunny O’Toole (The narrator)

Bunny is the narrator and he’s a very good story writer even though he has difficulty with his grammar most of the time and so the book is written with a lot of mistakes

He went camping and realise there was a war near him (The Americans attacked the Canadians)

He met Tyler and Beth, two siblings who’s dad in Tecumseth, a war hero

Tyler doesn't talk much but Beth and Bunny talk a lot

Bunny is not very tall

Bunny is very independent and know how to defend himself

Bunny is very helpful, when the 1 arm man stole his phone’s brother, he immediately went to get it even if it’s just a phone and he’s putting his life in danger by confronting the mayor.

Bunny has a big heart, in fact, he tried alerting everybody, even his enemy (The American) on the camping ground that a war would soon blow near them.

-What makes this person special or interesting? Bunny is very courageous and that’s what makes him interesting.

-A review of the most significant events. There’s a war besides Bunny’s camping and he gets included in it.

-5 important quotations related to your character. -«But culd we beat them in fiting?» Meaning he wrote this story himself after the war and wasn’t really good with his grammar.

-«Leave Beth alone» This is what he said trying to distract the mayor who had pointed his gun at Beth, his girlfriend.

-What kind of effect did he or she have on the world? Other people? He’s very gentle with others and respects the one that respects him.

-What are the adjectives you would most use to describe the person? Courageous, helpful, fair

-What examples from their life illustrate those qualities? Fair: He saved an American family that was on a trip to the same camp as him of the war the Americans themselves started.

Courageous/Helpful: He went after the powerful america army mayor just to get back his big brother's phone.

-What events shaped or changed this person’s life? -The war near his camping camp. All the pages

-Bunny is in love with Beth but throughout the story, Clod started flirting with her making Bunny more mad than sad, he even mentioned he wanted to throw an axe right in his head. P.75

-Did he or she overcome obstacles? Take risks? Yes, he put his life in danger when he tried taking back his big brother's phone from the American army mayor who was heavily armed.
