IT SYSTEMS UPGRADE FOR HOTEL

INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, technology is knowing another face. we are having many applications use to improve and make easy our task. But, these applications need to be often upgrade. That’s the updates which help the application to be good and efficient. Therefore, as an IT expert I have been asked to help solve the problems of a hotel in France to upgrade their IT system. So, I have been able to identify and come out some solutions to resolve the problem as requested by the case study scenario. Then, here is the plan to follow in order to resolve the hotel’s problem.

PROBLEM DEFINITION
There are many problems that I have identified as an IT expert asked to help solve the problem as requested by the case study scenario.
- System software upgrade: The company needs a new IT system well- update to link three hotels,
So, they have to upgrade their systems. The old system that the hotel used was outdated AND some of the cables which link the system camera surveillance to the computer through the unit have spoiled. so the need to get a new system well-update with resistant components is important because the old ones aren’t useful anymore. They could use service packs, regular’s updates, or security updates for update the system Then, as an IT expert to link the three hotels we should create and install a new system software well secure which will be able to keep long and be easy to use for the company.
- Efficient system: the need to get a resistant system able to keep long and be functional for a time is required. If the system is not working well or it just a simple system inefficient; that can affect the security of the hotels. So that won’t be good for the hotel’s reputation. They can also be victims of hackery and stealing.so as an IT expert the need to buy and install an efficient system is required for this hotel.
- Purchase a server furnished of location services: all the information’s about the hotel need to be secure and keep private on a server. This server will be the computer program that will provide functionality for others programs or devices called “clients “. As an IT expert I will advise the hotel to get one then they can check all the works they are doing on.
- Develop a secure website: the hotel should have a website that they should share everywhere on the web with rights. Then, that will also allow customer to reserve and pay on line. So the hotel will need a web developer, designer to manage the site.
- Staff training: people will need to do trainings in order to get and learn how to develop and secure as well a website and others things that they need to know.
- Software for staff payments and accounting: this program will help the hotel in his payment and accountment for the staff. This should be done on phones and on computers. Then, the payment of anybody of the staff’s hotel just go through the software write his name, his address and so on and so for…and a message will be sent to his or her after the validation of his account and this will be use to count they are money and especially manage the number of people in the hotel…

IDENTIFYING SELECTION CRITERIA
- SYSTEM SOFTWARE UPGRADE: buy an upgrade system will be benefit for the hotel. To realize that as an IT expert we need to buy a new version of the software. That means the system to be upgrade need a software upgrade in order to offer a significant change or major improvement over the current version. So we must purchase the new version. These upgrades will make significant changes to the system in functionality, user interface, and general appearance over the precious version.
- EFFICIENT SYSTEM: an efficient system will be good for the hotel. Then, as an IT expert I will advise them and as possible we shall buy some surveillances camera which will be placed in each room and everywhere in the hotel which is going to prevent them from people have bad idea who want to hack or steal.
- Purchase a server furnished of location services: the buying of a server is necessary. This will be the main or even the center of all computers and another machine in the hotel. Having it; will be good. As an IT expert I can say that in case they will be victim of hackery or stealing they can locate where the action is coming from in checking they are servers.
- Develop a secure website: as an IT expert the hotel will have many advantages securing their website. In securing they are website. All the data will be protected .so I’m going to use the protocol of security for website HTTPS which is an internet communication protocol that protects the confidentiality of data between the user’s computer and the website so all the data are secured using a HTTPS via a protocol named transform layer security (TLS), which provides three key layers of protection: encryption, data integrity, and authentication.
- Staff training: that one will take place after the creation of the website. The staff’s members will be guide by the website developer or an IT companies which is specialized who will show and explain them everything about the website all they need to know.
- Software for staff payments and accounting: this is one of the important thing the hotel need to have in order to avoid some problems when it comes to payment. So they need a programmer to develop a program that will permit managing when it comes to pay. The software should contain the staff’s name, numbers, birthday, date when they start working and as possible they must have an ID card about the accounting, that will help the hotel when it comes to count the revenue without problem.
