Seven Pounds

The movie opens with a close-up of Ben Thomas (Will Smith), calling for an ambulance."There's been a suicide," he tells a 911 operator. "Who's the victim?" the operator asks. Ben replies, "Me."

The movie then flashes back, showing Ben - a Los Angeles IRS agent - investigating the moral fibers of several strangers to determine the best candidates for his donations . First, he meets a local doctor (Tim Kelleher) with health problems and discovred that he abuses patients. Six months later he find Holly (Judyann Elder) a child services worker and decide to donates part of his liver to him. After that, he begins searching for more candidates to receive donations. He finds George (Bill Smitrovich), a junior hockey coach, he donates a kidney to him,he donates also bone marrow to a young boy named Nicholas (Quintin Kelley). Next he meets Connie Tepos (Elpidia Carrillo), who lives with an abusive boyfriend. Tim moves out of his house and into a local motel, taking with him his pet box jellyfish. He later goes to Connie's house to speak with her about her problem, but she denies that anything is wrong, and asks him to leave. He sets down his business card, urging her to "think about it", as he is ushered out the door. One night, after being beaten, Connie contacts Tim and he gives her the keys and deed to his beach house, with the stipulation that she never tries to contact him, and never tells anyone how she came to own the house. She takes her two children and moves into their new home.

It is at that moment that we discover that the hero have stolen his brother's credentials, and making himself known by his brother's name-Ben-,his real name is Tim. Using his brother privileges he checks out candidates for his two final donations. The first is Ezra Turner (Woody Harrelson), a blind telemarketer for a meat company, who plays the piano. After testing him he decides that Ezra is worthy. He then contacts Emily Posa (Rosario Dawson), a self-employed greeting card printer who has a heart condition and a rare blood type. He spends time with her, weeding her garden and fixing her rare Heidelberg Windmill press. He begins to fall in love with her and decides that as her condition has worsened he needs to make his donation.

It is then when he made the call to announce his own death by means of suicide . Tim fills the bathtub with ice water to preserve his vital organs, climbs in, and commits suicide by pulling his box jellyfish into the water with him. In the ensuing voiceover, Tim states that God created the world in seven days, but that all it took was seven seconds for Ben to shatter his own.

Once again The movie flashes back : Two years ago, Tim Thomas , a successful businessman , was reading a text message while driving, and causes a car crash in which seven people died: six strangers and his beloved fiancee…

After Tim’s death we see Ben sitting in a room with newspaper clippings and pictures of people that his brother has saved. Tim donated two lobes of his lung to him when he was diagnosed with lung cancer, a lobe of his liver to Holly, a kidney to coach George, bone marrow to Nicholas, his corneas to Ezra and his heart to Emily. He also found Connie and her family a new home. For each of the seven people who died, including his fiancée, Ben found a way to save seven deserving people.
