Sustainability in the Agriculture Industry.
Today’s agricultural practices are unsustainable and are the cause of countless environmental and population health problems.
Until the middle of the 20th century, agriculture would be mainly family farms that produced a mix of different types of plants and cattle. Since then, agriculture has been industrialised and taken over by big companies such as the BASF or Monsanto. According to Visual Capitalist, as of 2019, 12% of the earth’s surface was used for crops.
