Anglais – Discours

Dear fellow citizens,

Today at the age of 15, I blow the whistle against one of the most pressing issues of our time : racism and discrimination. In this day and age, it is disheartening that such intolerant behaviour still exists in our society. Discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender or any other factor is not only morally wrong, but also a violation of basic human rights.

Racism and discrimination breed hatred and intolerance, which not only harm individuals, but also divide communities and impede progress. That is why we must all, big or small, fight against it.

Every human being is born equal and deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. It is not the color of his skin, his religion or anything else that defines him, but his character and what he brings to society. By discriminating against someone, we deny them the opportunities they deserve and deprive ourselves of the potential contributions they could make.

What can we do ? We must condemn acts of racism and discrimination. But we must also educate ourselves and others about the harms of racism and discrimination and take steps to ensure that we do not contribute to it.

We need to support the struggles of people who face discrimination like women of color or LGBTQ+ people.

In conclusion, let us commit to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and discrimination is not tolerated. Let's work to build connections and recognize that our differences are what make us unique and beautiful. Together we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.
