Chris Mc Candless

Christopher McCandless was born in February, 1968 in El Segundo, in the American State of California, in Los Angeles County.

Young, he liked much the sport. His professors and his friends said of him that he was a boy with much will, obstinate and that he liked to gain and never left fallen his ideas.

At 22 years old, he had his diploma of History. After which, he left to make the travel of his life without warning anybody.

He had the taste of adventure, it is what it pushed him to leave and to discover the world. After he obtained his diploma, he made the travel his life.

His nickname became Alexander Supertramp.
his travel led him to Georgia,  Louisiana,  Texas,  New Mexico,  Arizona,  California,  Oregon,  Montana,  Alaska and  Canada. He seemed to be in search of happiness according to his sister.
He finishes his tour in Alaska, some hunters found him dead in an abandoned bus in August, 1992.
 
Several authors were different accounts.
In the film “Into the Wild” of Sean Penn, Chriss Mc Candless believes to eat potato seeds. But it is poison.
a quotation of the film “Into the wild” is very known:
“Happiness is real only when it is shared”
 
As for Jon Krakauer, he wrote a book “Travels at the end of the loneliness” which also speaks about the life of Chriss. But it is not the same end. He will have eaten potato seeds but they would have been contaminated chemically.
And Ron Lamothe made a documentary “Cal of the wild” which thought to him that Chris had died because of malnutrition.
More recently, the sister of Chris wrote a biography on her brother: “The wild truth”.
She tells there the difficult home environment in which Chris grew.
She speaks about their relative, their divorce, violences and the abuses alcohol. All that, affected Chriss heavily. It would be that which would have justified it to live freely.
