Hello, today we’re going to present a road trip along road 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica.

It is a trip for two person and it lasts three weeks. We advise you to start the trip in early spring, so it’s not too hot and not to cold. You’ll have to pay attention to the time zone because you will go through 3 différents.

What to pack with you ? Take a paper map or a GPS but disable the “highway” option. Water is the most important item because the wind will dehydrate you. You can see a 1950’s dinners and listen along your visit the music of the big band era !It also have a shop with goodies to remember your trip along road 66! Generally the museum are animated by the regionals association of protection of the road 66.. Then you should go to the Motel 6 in Clinton, the motel is conveniently located the road 66 museum is a 10 minute walk away and the water Zoo water park is a 4 min in car trip, you also can go to the beautiful Foss state park. It has a laundry coin and the room are between 39,99$ and 59,99$ per night and you can eat at the Route 66 café at the market in Clinton is known for the friendly staff and a really good value for money with an average price of 10$ per person and they serve american traditional food like fried chicken, steaks, hamburgers, fries, pancakes among others.

Then you should go to the Wigwam motel in Holbrook, in the state of Arizona. You will sleep in a tepee and spend a night like a Native American. Get memorable souvenirs and presents from their gift shop which will always remind you of Route 66 and your unforgettable California trip. Since 2012, the Wigwam Motel has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And you have to visit the Little Colorado in Arizona. Little Colorado originates in eastern Arizona, in southeastern Apache County, and flows northwest through a series of deep gorges. It reaches Colorado at the Grand Canyon, at 823 m altitude, and mixes its turquoise waters with the muddy waters of Colorado. After a long walk you should go to the Butterfield Stage Co. Steak House the decoration is rustic and you will do a time travel while eating there.
