Myths and heroes : How to evolve the image of the heroes of before and today?

I’m going to talk about the notion Myths and Heroes. A myth can be defined as a story about gods or heroes, a hero can be a mythological figure, a superhero or maybe a role model or an icon. These days, heroes are not considered in the same way as before, now you can become a hero by saving a person or doing things for society. We can therefore ask ourselves the question "How to evolve the image of the heroes of before and today?” To answer this question, we will see the characteristics of the heroes before and now.

First, before, the heroes of the United States were essentially cowboys, indeed they work hard, kept livestock, took care of animals. They fought against the Indians to save their land. Their living conditions were miserable, they did not have tents to sleep, they spent days on hair. For us cowboys are people who make rodeos at the risk of their lives, it attracts especially young people because they have better physical performance than the older ones.

But they are not the only ones, indeed, the pioneers who are explorers of territories were also present. These men do not fear to fight to defend their lands, they like to go on an adventure to find new places to live. They were conquering the West. The best known of them was a defender of these values said "Give me liberty or give me death"

These days, a hero is more defined as a national hero. Like astronauts who do missions at the risk of their lives, or a politician who defends his ideas for his people. A hero can be a person of everyday life, someone we meet in the street, a friend, a fictional person. It totally changed from what it could be before. He had distinct characters, and he was a brave, good, and just man. But now, with movies, comics, a hero is someone who has super powers.
