Drugs have been around for centuries, and they've had a huge impact on society. In the past, drugs were used to help people relax or to help them forget about their problems. However, over the years, drugs have changed from being used for medicinal purposes to becoming recreational items that are consumed by many people in society. Althought the law did not seem to express a clear judgement on why drugs must be forbbiden, the following question could then be raided : What are nowadays the economical and social consequences of drug use in our society ?

On the economic side, drug use leads to a decrease in productivity, as individuals who are addicted to drugs often miss work or are unable to perform their duties as efficiently as they would without the influence of drugs. This can lead to a loss of income for the individual and their family, as well as for businesses that employ them. Additionally, drug use can lead to an increase in crime rates, as individuals may resort to criminal activity in order to obtain money for drugs. This can lead to increased costs for law enforcement and other public services, which can further strain the economy.

On the social side, drug use can lead to an increase in health problems such as addiction, mental health issues, and physical health issues such as overdoses. In addition, it can cause families and communities to suffer due to the destruction that drug abuse causes.

All of these factors combine to create a significant burden on our society that is both economically and socially damaging.
