                                        Idea of progress

         I’m going to present you , the notion idea of progress, It is a theory that the different advances in technology,science and social organisation can produce an improvement in the human condition.

        First of all , i will speak the technological progress , then i will discuss the scientific progress and finaly i will show the dangers of this evolution.

        In class , we studied two texts speaking og the technological progress , the text of Michael Harris , «  the internet:too much a good thing », In this text the work of mr harris allows to appreciate tne news technologies in their just value without forgetting the assets of the world which preceded. Indeed soon more people will not remember time without internet.

The text « The computer will see you now » talk about people who was interacting with an  artificial intelligent virtual human, Ellie is a vitual psyclogist.

        Then , we can speak about the scientific progress. We studied the text of jonathan Weiner « The trouble with immortality ». Talk about people who  would be live forever . Thanks to the science progress it can become possible.  For exemple the développement of cloning assure the immortality.

But the are inconvéniences : the création of a clone  would be a very expensive process and Much people ne peuvent ce payer cela .
