Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States and the first African American commander-in-chief. He served two terms, in 2008 and 2012. His father was a Kenyan economist and politician and his mother was a young American student of Irish descent, they had modest income.

Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 and raised in. He had a difficult childhood because of his parents' separation, so he lived with his mother who remarried in Jakarta , and at age of 10 he was sent to live with his grandparents in the US so that he could continue his studies there. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review. After serving on the Illinois State Senate, he was elected a U.S. senator representing Illinois in 2004. He and wife Michelle Obama have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

Barack obama is considered to be an important and iconic figure of peace, a hero of population, especially in the US and in the world in general given that he is the first afro american president of the united states and also thanks to the decisions he has taken and the actions he has done either in the political field or even in the fight of Black Americans for their rights .he has played a very important role in the change of the united states which has become a country with more justice, freedom and equality, which has changed the lives of African Americans, which is very hard in our present time.
