I will introduce you this collage who’s the representation of “what does it mean to be British today “for me.

First, for me, to be British is based on their specific history, including especially the British monarchy.

Indeed, the British monarchy has a very great importance in a British life, the majority is very attached to the royal family who has existed for hundreds of years. It is a strong symbol and it represents the Britain in the whole world.


His interventions in the British’s daily life are frequent, we can take example of the debate on the succession of Elisabeth II, the current queen of England in office since 1952.

British culture and customs thus play an important part in British life

We can also talk about Britannia, the personification of Great Britain In the 2nd century, Roman Britannia came to be personified as a goddess, armed with a trident and shield and wearing a Corinthian helmet. After centuries of declining use, the Latin form was revived during the English renaissance as a rhetorical evocation of a British national identity. the personification of the martial Britannia was used as an emblem of British imperial power and unity.

The United Kingdom is also known for its cultural heritage of remarkable richness and variety, Poetry, theater, painting, cinema, the quality of the masterpieces accumulated over the centuries is recognized to the four corners of the planet. But the prominent figure of British culture still remains to this day William Shakespeare who continues to influence the artists of today.
English is often nicknamed the language of Shakespeare as this author has marked the language of his country by inventing many terms and expressions. 

Education is also of capital importance in the life of a British, indeed it is recognized all over the world for its efficiency, and one recognizes right away those great schools such as Oxford, the oldest university in Britain, Which is the symbol of British success.
