ROBOTICS

I'm going to talk about the notion of Idea of Progress. The idea of progress is the idea that human condition can become better thanks to  advances in science or technology. We can use a good topical example, the robotics. Then I can wonder if robotics threated humanity.

I- NO

Firstly robots are not a serious threat. Robots can be a good way to modernize the world and can help humanity. Indeed, robots may be useful in medecine. Robots can be more effective than a human for surgical operation. For example Da Vinci is a robot wich can operate alone. It's sucessfull. Also, thanks ai's, humans can built autonomous cars. Elon Musk is an american businessman, he created Tesla, the most powerfull autonomous and electric cars in world. It's a udge step. Then, we need robots because they have an incredible capacity, bigger than humans.

II- YES

However robots can be a serious threat. Scientist not always controlled all about them. I can illustrate this idea with the example of Microsoft. They did than artificial intelligence wich had a Twitter account. But it became racist, facist and in love with Hitler. Another example, the singularity, is the day when robots became strongest than humans. In the words of a scientist in Google, the singurality is only in 11 years.  Then robots become more and more intelligent and sometimes that's a problem because we don't know what can happen in future. That's why we must vigilant.

Personally, I think robots can be our friends if we control all about them. As the french Writter Rabelais said « Science without conscience is but the ruin of the soul »
