Jeanne :

For the next 10 minutes we will talk about an enterprise. This enterprise is named Allianz Global Assitance.

In fact, this summer Marylou has the opportunity to make an internship at Allianz Global Assistance in management control.I know this society very well.

It’s a french society which propose insurance in many topic, like as automotive services, health & lifecar, travel, property and others.First, we will present Allianz’ organisation. Then, we will focus on the management control in this firm.

Marylou :

Jeanne, could you explain us what are the characteristics of this company?

Jeanne :

 Yes sure.First, I think it’s important to say that Allianz is established everywhere around the world and this firm have a huge turnover Maybe you know it as Mondial Assistance.

In 2010, this firm have changed to Allianz Global Assitance.

Marylou :

Well. Can you continue by detailing us the structure of Allianz ?

Jeanne :

Allianz’ hierarchy is commonRemi Grenier is the CEO/Chief executive of Allianz. 

There are also ten members at the executive committee in Allianz’ head office who responded of shareholder’s recommendations.Those members of the executive committee rely on many employees who conform themselves with members’ demand. Actually, there are almost ten subsidiaries, employing themselves thousands employees .  Allianz’ head office is located in Paris but it has many subsidiaries everywhere ; from Greece to Singapore bearing in mind United States.Most of the time, head office and subsidiaries are in connection and work together. At any time, the head office control its subsidiaries. Allianz’ head office managed far from subsidiaries running shops which proposed Allianz’ services.

Marylou :

And which are precisely the services proposed by Allianz to their customers?

Jeanne :

International leader in assistance, travel insurance and personal services. Allianz Global Assistance suggests innovative solutions made to measure. Loss luggage ? Breakdown in wilderness ? In every circumstances, the firm takes place in real time, in everyday life and everywhere for helping its consumers 24/7.

Allianz has a logo which say a lot on its activities : « How can we help ? »

It allows to its customers to be insure in many situations, when they subscribed with somes conditions.

For example, when you have take out an insurance and you go on holidays, Allianz pays off your travel in case of natural disaster. Of course, there are very strict characteristics to use those benefits.

You can also take off an insurance for your luggages, in case of loss or burglary.

Moreover, you can take off an insurance for health troubles when you go abroad. Thank to that you can be repatriate to receive care from doctors on your country.

To conclude on this company, I would say that it will able to show innovative, and offer many services in different cases. In few years, the company is become essential and international. It performes ten thousand opérations every seconds.

Marylou :

How this company is able to manage all these interventions?

Jeanne :

Allianz Global Assistance is present in 28 countries. With more than 10 700 (ten thousand seven hundred) employees, the firm speak more than 40 different languages. It rests on an international network of 180 (one hundred eighty) correspondents in the world and 400 000 (four thousand hundreds) service provider : doctors, nurses, craftsman, engineer, Airlines…
