The idea of progress refers to an improvement, a change, modifications to be better, in any fields, like in politic.

To illustrate this notion, I've chosen documents who are a particular kind of progress. These documents are all related to the USA because is a big and influencing country who knews a dark periode. I’ve chosen to talk about  Martin Luther King speech’s, « I have a dream ». secondly, the guns with the violence in USA and i will speak about the actuality with  Donald Trump and his slogan : « Make America great again » . It's why we can wonder today, in what the speech of martin Luther King JR made a progression of american tradition ?

Firstly, the following document could have been too in the notion Myths and Heros, but I find it more judicious to include in the progress, because this speech has made great progress for black men's story. The speech of MLK « I have a dream » is too broadcast worldwide. He advocates the peace, and the end of racism. This speech has an friendly aspect because MLK speaks to people saying « my friends ». In the text, he reveals his dream to the world can establish an equality between humans, but also the simple fact that a black man takes the floor and influences peoples. All that knowing that at the time he pronounced his speech, the segregation was still actual (1963). in addition to having social progress, he himself embodied progress for the black community ; because he won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Unfortunately, like many people who have been against the morals, he was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis ; leaving behind him an image of peace, equality and change. He wanted to see the world as o whole , a welded group because he sayed « to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail trogether, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day ».

The speech of martin luther king made a progression into the mentality and approximately 40 years after this speech the first black president is elected by the american , with this election we could think that racism has decreased but under the mandate of barrack obama the violence against black people has increased and with the second amandement of constitution it’s very easy to extand this violence in this country about, we saw in class with the assistant Nora the power's guns in the USA. In fact, in the USA, everybody can buy guns, and do justice oneself. It's very easy to buy guns, like in supermarket. The USA is the country which counte the most murders by guns. Whose possession is as commonplace as telephone. In the United States, there is more than one murder per firearm every hour, more than 27 homicides a day or 9,855 murders per year.

Today the violence against black people is more and more controversial because the president who was elected is Donald trump and he claims pro guns and racism and that never makes a good mix. A slogan of donald trump is:make america great again and why he is using again in his slogan it’s might to refers a segration moment donald trump has lots of supports like red neck and a parts of red neck are racism and makes rap country with a message of violence and racism like the singer Upchurch

As a conclusion, we can say that each of these documents represents a form of progress, but now the situation of usa is very peculiar because the political part in power is racism we can see a form of regration but lot of people all around the world are against trump and his politic and we can see a form of progress because the human makes proof of solidarity like would martin luther king
