Notion-Idea-of-Progress

        I am going to talk about the idea of progress. The idea of progress can be defined as a development or a change. It can be a technical, scientific or social advance which contributes to making the world a better place.  We can ask ourselves how the idea of progress work in our life. First we going to speak about how the progress can be part of our daily life. And in a second part we going to speak about the advantages of the progress in the society.

        First, We've seen in class the case of a family that had chosen to live away from any civilization in the midst of nature and to live mainly from themselves. In this way, they produce their own honey, their own electricity and water they have access to it through recovery on rainy days and they produces the majority of their food. This new way of life allows them to live debt-free because they only work for their home and it gives them more time for themselves.  Thus, we can notice that this new life is very ecologist and it's a progress in the sense that it's very ecologist because there is no pollution, it's very good for the earth.

In a second part, we've seen a video in class which explain in which areas progress is useful to us in our current life. We've seen that, now, with all the new technologies, the progress in the science and in the medical use. Indeed, new robots are built and could in few years replace men in some dangerous work or as we've said before in the medicine to replace surgeon. It's gonna be a huge advanced and step forward because mistakes will be much less frequent than with humans and work will go much faster.

To conclude, we can notice that the idea of progress could be a very good thing for the future and render service to many people in a lot of different aspect of the daily life.

But even if progress is more and more present in our society we can ask ourselves how far it will go and more not everyone is in agreement with all these changes.
