Geographical introduction

I’m going to talk about New York.
New York is located in United States in the Northern Hemisphere.
 The geography of New York State varies widely. While the state is best known for New York City's urban atmosphere, especially Manhattan's skyscrapers, most of the state is dominated by farms, forests, rivers, mountains, and lakes. New York is four hours from Washington D.C. The climate of New York State is generally humid continental, while the extreme southeastern portion of the state lies in the warm temperate climate zone. In Huntington the average high July temperature is 23° while in Ticonderoga the average high in July is 27° the latter much further north, but in the former on Long Island, summer air is cooled by the surrounding ocean. Winters are often cold and snowy above the New York City and Long Island areas of New York. In New York there are more than 8 millions of habitants. The median age is 34 years. New York has several monuments in his city. Among them there is the statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and Central Park. The statue of liberty is 93 meters of height and weight 220 (two hundred and twenty tons) and it is made from copper and gold. The Empire state Building is 381(three hundred and eighty one) meters of height and weight 365 000 tons (three hundred and sixty five thousand). Many of materials were used in the construction of the empire state building but there is mainly steel beam. The area of central park is 3.41 km and it’s a green space.
