New York, the city that never sleeps. Not only an important cultural place, it is also a highly intellectual sector. New York Times, Wall Street, American Museum of Natural History, Columbia, New York University - do you feel the breeze of intellect? I certainly do every time I hear about the Big Apple.

New York is the most heavily populated city in United States. With 8 336 697 habitants in total on a tiny area of 1 214,4 km2 (it makes about 6 865 people per square kilometer!) it is considered as one of the most influential towns in the world when it comes to art, fashion, media, finance, technology, education and entertainment. The Big Apple also harbors numerous universities like Columbila, New York University and Rockefeller University that entered the list of 50 best universities all over the world. In short, when you consider visiting or studying in another country or city New York in United States is surely in the top 3 choices where to go.

It is very important for a student to be in the right environment. If there is a choice between a university in Los Angeles or a university in New York, a serious person who has its goals well fixed ahead of him or her would most probably go to New York. The city atmosphere in itself is very competitive which is not surprising for the least when there are so many people on such a small land. Statistics show that NY is considered to have the highest concentration of highly educated people, counting three out of five Manhattan residents having a college graduate and one out of four with an advanced degree. In such an atmosphere of performance and success due to hard work it is assured that instead of going clubbing the student would try to study more in order to achieve his or her goals.

Learning and working is very good and rewarding, yet, we are no robots, we can't only study 24/7. Well, guess what, if you can find something in New York it would surely be cultural and entertaining places. First of all, during the whole year, no matter if it is winter or summer, it can be a great idea to wander around Central Park, which is like an oasis of virgin nature inside a city of steel. If you are not someone who can walk for hours without a purpose, you can always visit The Metropolitan Museum of Art which would amaze you with its collections or walk under the blazing lights of Broadway.

There is always a choice and always a possibility, when you live in the City that Never Sleeps. Grip to your hat and dive into this amazing world, where the wind of intelligence and determination will guide you on the path to success!
