Myths and heroes : soldiers of war, heroes double-faced ?

From our day, in our company, we are surrounded by all kinds of hero. There are thus the heroes of the daily newspaper, like “a simple” mother; a simple person who galley to live. A hero, is some one who in spite of the fear, will defend for example, a person which is made attack, will save somebody of the drowning.

A hero, is thus an ordinary person who does something of extraordinary. Throughout this works, we will be interested in the soldiers of war, these heroes of the daily newspaper who deserve that one grants a little time to them.

We will put ourselves the following question: Soldiers of war, hero with double faces?

We will see the image given to the soldiers by the medias and their true state of mind.

The soldiers are generally introduced by the media like courageous, victorious, without any fears loan with very to save lives. The soldiers, are seen in time of war and even outwards like characters causing admiration, the respect. Figures of authorities, they are given the responsibility to maintain the order in way exemplary, in situations which they, however are far from the being.

Thus the soldiers are introduced by the media, as combatants who do not fear anything.

However, we see the appearance, today of new speeches discussing the precedents. Indeed, new media, propose what would be the true state of mind of these soldiers, always ready, certainly to give their lives, but all the same with fears and reaction which after all is human. Moreover, the returns of engagements of are still not also pain-killers which one would have liked to make us believe. Indeed, the soldiers, are happy to find their family in a certain way, but of another they are traumatized almost destroyed of what they have just lived.  

Shocked and extremely frightened, marked of a hot iron by this experiments which they pass in loop in their memories, it is very difficult for them, to take again a more or less normal life. Their reintegration in the company, corresponds to a delicate work and which must be finely made because of traumatic stress post that they live.
