We are going to introduce the notion meeting other people, love and friendship.
The notion speak of the love and the friendship in the english literature.
My key question is : « On the literature , a loving meeting arrives only thanks to a friendly meeting ? »
To deal with this notion, we are going to use 2 documents studied in class, the first document is the chapter 3 of Great Gatsby, the second document is the chapter 5 of great Gatsby.
I'll use also a personal document which is the meeting of Roméo and Juliet . Thanks to that, we can ask us the subject of the humans relationships'complexity.
To answer , we are going to show a friendly meeting who lead to loving meeting, and finally we show of a loving meeting arrive directly without friendly side.
In first, we do speak of The First document, This extract is a friendly meeting, an important point of english literature . In this chapter, Gatsby meet this old friend Nick. This meeting passed in the good humor. Gatsby is warm, sympathetic, and friendly with Nick ; Gatsby is happy to find this old sport. Moreover, he welcomes him with this expression.
This meeting symbolise correctly the passage happy and fun of the friendly meeting in literature.
Gatsby invite this friend in this home and wish to feel at home. Gatsby stay polite, distinguished, and generous. Nick , in this side, is no longer bored , he starts having fun. Nick is surprised of it meet with gatsby. Therfore, Nick is curious to know what his friend beacame.
His curiousity is stimulated by the gossip, the girl's remark with suggest he may be have murdered and his mysterious origines and past.
Thanks this friendly meeting, Nick invite Gatsby and create the meet of Daisy and Gatsby. Without the meet of Nick, Gatsby would never have pus to meet Daisy. The friendly meeting thus engaged the loving meeting, it shows the link between these 2 types of meeting who look to be alike quite points with a similar atmosphere in this work there. But the meeting is not formed in the same way and the reactions of certain characters are very different. For exemple, Daisy is sophisticated and fivolous, Nick and Gatsby is under her spell ; With this same time, we can see that Nick and Gatsby feel miserably and harrowed Face has this woman, even if it appears nevertheless has them eyes for a soft angel. In the english literature, This kind of meeting arrives very often. The loving meetings are quite marked by a strong description of the feelings felt. The meetings can be also as well by a point of view of a male that feminine but in both cases, nothing that by reading the scene, the narrator and the author can make us understand the loving tensions of novels as well as the relation which can connect each of both characters.
But all the scenes of loving meetings do not only remit has the help of one friend or of a friendly meeting. In several literature, we can find at first a only meeting between 2 loving protagonists. A marking scene it is found in William shakespeare's play: " Roméo and Juliette ". Both characters meets accidentally during a ball. None knew the real identity of other one but both fell in love with a single look. In the theater, the intensity of the scene owes be mastered in the perfection to make understand to the spectator the importance of this moment, without introduction beforehand by one friends, the scene finds itself that more intense. This scene, which is a part of one of the plays typical of the romantic genre and which defines perfectly the loving meeting, allows us to discover love being born as well as their relation being almost born immediately, strengthening even more the side of love of this scene, we can see this at the moment where Roméo kiss juliet for prove his love. At the end of this scene, Juliette and Roméo discovers the real identity of their beloved, it allows to create the love affair as well as to demonstrate the complexity of the human relations through 2 children which tries to fight against their respective families to make live their loves. This scene of loving meeting serves perfectly has his function and sets up the intrigue of the story as well as its coherence and the beauty of this meeting.
