Mai: Good Morning, Simon. I am Mai.
Simon: Good Morning.
Mai: Have you been waiting long?
Simon: I’ve just arrived here
Mai: How was the traffic coming over here?
Simon: I am so glad that the traffic was light this morning. No traffic jam and no accidents.
Mai: That is good, Simon, let’s start the interview. Are you ready?
Simon: Yes, I am. Would you like to see my resume?
Mai: Yes please. First of all, let me properly introduce myself. I am the Finance Department Manager. As you know there is an open position in my department, and I need to fill this position as soon as possible.
The new employee will have to work closely with the Accounting department. He will also have to deal with the bank on a daily basis.
Mai: Could you tell me a little bit about yourself.
Simon: I was a student at IAE school of management, and I just graduated with a Master degree in Finance. I have been working for Axa for 2 years, to the postion of Accountant Manager.
I had to advice the customers and sell Axa’s services. This job required real business sense and a Master of sales because customers are more demanding and better informed.
Mai: What are you looking for in a job?
Simon: The job should help me see what Finance is all about. I have learned a lot of Finance theories at school, and now it is time for me to put them into practice. I also hope that it will help me grow in my field.
Mai: What are your strengths? Why should I hire you?
Simon: On the support of my current experience, I can say I met the requirements listed in the job advertisement. I think I am the person you need for this job.
In the other hand, I am a hard-working person and a fast learner. I am very eager to learn, and I get along fine with people.
Mai: So have you worked in your present company for 2 years?
Simon: Yes, I have
Mai: Why do you want to resign?
Simon: As you know, I serve as an accountant manager in my present company. I really want to look for a more challenging opportunity
Mai: Don’t you like the present work?
Simon: I like the work, but it was a dead end job. There was not a prospect of carreer development.
Mai: Yes our company is large and there is plenty of room for advancement.
The professions within our company also offers career development prospects as it was written on the ad.
Mai: By the way, can you handle pressure?
Simon: Yes, I can. When I was going to school, I took quite a few courses each semester while working at least 40 hours every week and without to mention my student job at that time. I handled that situation very well.
Mai: All right, So, I thank you for your answers. We have finished for the interview.
Simon: Thank you for the time you have given to me.
Mai: We will notify you folowing the interview as soon as possible. Mr Simon, it was a pleasure to meet you. Good bye.
Simon: The pleasure was shared. Good bye Ms Mai.
