SPACES AND EXCHANGES

I am going to talk about the notion of spaces and exchanges. This notion deals with the geographical areas that all societies occupy and different societies. Our world is built on the exploration and conquest of news spaces.

We can ask the key question : should fonctionnal heroes evolve with their readers times or should they remain in their original context ?

I- The importance to stay in the original context of fictionnal heroes.

For many people the read it’s a evasion middle or get out of world who around them and they have a idea of hero.

Example : "The outlaw legend"

This document we give a large definition of a hero, it’s a character who reflects and reinforces the national identity and brings tourism thanks to his actions and experiences. So it’s important to respect this aspect of hero and the original context.

Example : The adventures of Sherlock Holmes or Romeo and Juliet

II- The need to refer to the heroes.

However, these examples were victim of their success because these heroes were adapted in the literature and the cinema.

For example, the protagonist Sherlock Holmes was adapted almost three hundred in the cinema.

Example : Elementary

In this serie there are two major changes : firstly Watson is a woman and secondly the action takes place in New York.

The heroes Romeo and Juliet were adapted in many film.

Example : West Side Story

This adaptation it’s a broadway show and talk about the impossible love story between Tony and Maria with two opossing gangs the Jets and the Sharks.

So there is also a need to have the heroes who represented our daily life, thoughts and problems.

CONCLUSION : Fictionnals heroes should evolve with their readers time because they want to have the characters who represent their life. But it’s also important to respect the definition of hero.
