En revanche, en anglais, c’est la personne qui éprouve le sentiment de manque qui est sujet de la phrase et c’est donc à cette personne que l’on conjugue le verbe. Pour mieux comprendre le verbe to miss, imaginez que celui-ci veut dire “éprouver une sensation de manque envers”.

About Doris Day. Doris Day was most popular in the 1950s and early 1960s. She was an American singer, actress and animal welfare activist. She recorded more than 650 songs from 1947 to 1967 and made many movies from 1948 to 1968. She died in 2019. She was known for her blonde, wholesome image. About Autumn Leaves.  The lyrics of the original version “Les Feuilles Mortes », a popular jazz track, were written by French poet Jacques Prévert in 1945. The music was composed by Hungarian musician Joseph Kosma. Two French singers: Yves Montant and Cora Vaucaire performed the song in 1946. Then, the English lyrics were written by American songwriter Johnny Mercer in 1947 under the title: Autumn Leaves.
