Where does the scene probably take place? (justify) :

The scene probably takes place in a house, or somewhere close, because we don’t hear any other noise, or any other people except the 2 speakers, and there’s a moment where the boy is saying « Drink you tea », so they’re probably sitting and talking on a couch.

Details about each speaker’s family. (Indicate jobs when mentioned.) :

Speaker 1 : It’s a woman. She’s the biological mother of the second speaker. She’s not married. She’s an operator in a factory. She has a daughter who is a secretary.

Speaker 2 : He’s a boy. He’s the biological son of the speaker 1. His adoptive parents died in a car accident. He’s single. He’s a physiotherapist. He has 2 brothers, who are not adopted, and the older one works as a computer programmer and the younger one is an optician.

Details about each speaker’s job /

Speaker 1 : She ‘s an operator in a factory, she does not really like her job, she makes it just for money.

Speaker 2 : He’s a physiotherapist. His job consists in helping people wounded in their arms or legs after surgery or illness.

2. A. The speaker 2 is looking for her biological parents.

B. Yes, but not totally. He found her real mom, but still doesn’t know who is his dad.

C. Speaker 2 proves what he’s looking for with a signature.

D. Speaker 1 said « I can’t be your mother, can I ? » because she’s a white woman and the boy is black, and she was persuaded that she never had a relation with a black man, until she started to overthink.

E. Speaker 1 said that she should remember if she had ever been on a bed with a black man.

F. Yes, in fact, she remembered, because she said that, and after, she stopped talking for a while (like if she was realising Something) and then she said « oh my god, I feel so ashamed, I’m really sorry (…). I had no idea my baby was black ! »

G. Speaker 1 reafused to tell to speaker 2 who is real father is.

H. Speaker 2 has been adopted, whereas the other children of his family are not.

3. A. False, to her, letting him be adopted was better ; « Life without me has been good to you, that much is for sure, giving you up for adoption was the best thing I could do. »

B. True ; « A smart looking guy like you ? »

C. False ; « You like it ? » « Mhh… It’s money. »

D. True ; « I bet your parents were proud of you, weren’t they ? (…) Yes of course they were, I’m proud too. »
