To begin, euthanasia is described as a practice that causes the death of an individual suffering from an incurable disease that causes mental distress and / or physical intolerable.

It is legal in Belgium under 3 conditions: The patient should be major

The request must be made by the patient without external pressure.

The patient must have an incurable disease.

In 2011, active euthanasia is legal in only three countries: the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Assisted suicide is legal in Switzerland and in the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington. However, many countries prohibiting active euthanasia, including France, have legalized the cessation of treatment the patient's request, prohibits aggressive therapy instituted initiatives and patient support at end of life.

Argument.

-for: we have the right to decide when they want to die or not.

When suffering from an incurable disease and it causes pain insuportables, I understand that wills to finish. Shorten the suffering.

-against: The ability to be treated is not rejected even if it is an incurable disease, a cure just always be found and save the person.

Another argument, some person under the influence of pain, are not mental state to decide their life.

Finally, people, if they have the option to euthanize, would too easily without trying to fight to live.
