TECH-LESS WORLD

Today, technology is very present in our society, and indeed almost indispensable. But, a flash back is it possible?. Technology is a part of life. We use it daily.

To find out, in the USA ,in Portland , a teacher suggested an idea. He proposes a volunteer experience. This one consists in live without technology during four days/give up technology during for days. Only two students refused to participate. This experience is characterized by two aspects, positive and negative. The positive aspect is that it was a free experience, those people who want, can participate or no. And they discover new things, because it is an eye opening experience . Through this experience, they realize they don’t always need. Then, some people have decided to limit their use of technology. But, there is a downside, teenagers are very anxious, because living without technology create a feeling of loneliness . And it was very difficult to resist to the temptation to check their e -mail because the technology has create a dependency. Some people dropped out to make some things before the end of the week like talk to their family, watch their favorite TV program and order food.

In fact, they want at first to check their e-mail.. Therefore, it is very difficult to live without technology, but other people have realized that they could live with less technology.

But if we take an example of an extract from The Mosquito Coast, written by Paul Theroux novel , published in 1981 , a world tech - less is possible. A man from Hatfield Allie Fox in Massassuchet , with his wife and children to go to Jeronimo in Honduras. The father wants to start from scratch to build a new life. But there is also two aspects, positive and negative . But the know their advantages, they tamed the river, they drained the marshes , they survived the floods and they purified water. And they create manufacturing ice, but they have a big problem, the earthquake . Allie Fox is a brilliant inventor and create a lot of things, a sewer system, a shower unit , a windmill , a landing, a flush , a reservoir and a fireplace. thank you for all these inventions of the father they have a better life in the jungle. Now, the family has a better life. The father used technology wester to adapt to the life in the wild. They overcame obstacles. They tamed nature. This is a real adventure for children.

But I am in favor of living in a world tech -less but today it is very difficult. The company has increased. And I think it would be very difficult for us to live without technology because technology is not only a mobile phone and computer. We also use a coffee machine , washing machine , dishwasher , car , vacuum cleaner and many others equipment or technological device or appliances that we use in everyday of life.

In Canada, Guelph , a young couple of 27 years decided to live with their 5 an 2 years old children , as in 1986 . Without technology that did not exist at this time, it was the beginning of the technology. One day, the father offers to ou proposes in

his son to go outside and play . But last to continue to play on the iPad (The child stays inside and continue to plan on the Ipad. The father realizes there was a problem. When he was child, he spends all his time to play outside. They decided to live and educate their children
