INTRODUCTION

Pregnancy is the state of a pregnant person, which is the natural consequence of unprotected sex in a good time or a bad use of contraceptives. Pregnancy is usually a happy event for the wearer because it's made her a mom-and its author a future dad. But the school-based pregnancy phenomenon is special because it is often unwanted and with consequences on the lives of the holders, authors, parents and the entire educational system.

I- CAUSES Phenomen

School-based pregnancy is a serious problem for the education system as it is the main cause of several cases of schooling. The main cause of pregnancy in schools is the practice of unsafe sex among adolescents, this main cause, adds secondary causes such as ignorance, lack of control and poor implementation and use of contraceptives, poor access to contraceptives, a serious lack of responsible sexuality education in our schools and in the family and sexual harassment.

Let us now see each of the causes of this phenomenon:

the practice of unprotected sex among adolescents:

The end of primary school and high school coincided with the period of puberty in adolescents, in this period, the young want to do new things, discover new sensations and resist bans. In this desire for new sensations, the young could know the sex, but who have not received adequate sex education engages with ease to sex often unprotected because these casual partners often do not have the means or the courage to get condoms.

ignorance

A popular adage that "Ignorance is the mother of all vices," because at this age the girl or young person does not know the mechanisms of the body, for example, some students believe that "a woman becomes pregnant when having sex during menstruation period. "In this atmosphere the young people learn bad things, give bad advice and induce in serious errors.

the lack of control and poor implementation and use of contraceptives

Reproductive sciences humans have evolved so the use of contraceptives is an art and only specialists are given to speak, for a method used by a woman is still not adapted to another gold some students, these means are often used following a recommendation from a friend or a person who is not a specialist, and the consequences will follow.

difficult access to contraceptives

Contraceptives in our health system are medical products, therefore are sold in pharmacies which are public places, or students are often embarrassed to go to these places to get them for fear of being seen as youth engage in sexual activities.

a serious lack of responsible sexuality education in our schools and family

The youth sex education is the responsibility of all adults, but unfortunately the Beninese education system does not provide great thing in this area except for some parts of SVT during which brief cases. Under these conditions, much of the work is up to parents, but again sex is still considered taboo in many families. While the students are left to themselves and are victims everywhere.

Sexual harassment

the contact of the opposite sex can not be avoided in our institutions. But this is sometimes the source of sexual harassment of girls students are often victims. Educators to fulfill their fantasies pounce on female students they take for easy prey, the main lure is the class notes, and the girl could no longer resist these pressure yields, which sometimes causes these pregnancies last.

II- CONSEQUENCES

When a young student is pregnant, she is a real problem for herself, for her parents, a handicap for her education and personal development. And the consequences of this phenomenon are multiple levels: it is the health plan, the morally and academically.

EFFECTS ON HEALTH PLAN

The body of the girl is not ready to receive a fetus, but now she is surprised to be of mother-position, then it creates changes in it, may be the body is not well developed to keep a fetus, which could affect the baby future development. To the psychological health the girl under the prying eyes of his entourage, enters a deep state of concern which may even end up with mental disorders. As in most cases of school pregnancies, the first reaction is to conduct a clandestine abortion which causes consequences such as infertility, obstetric disorders or even death.

CONSEQUENCES ON THE MORAL PLAN

The honor of a girl is when she is an example to his comrades and value to his parents. But when a girl is pregnant, she became the laughing stock of the community and a shame to subject his family. Because all religions condemn sex before marriage, so parents of this girl feel a personal failure on education they would have given to their offspring and become very hard with this child and other children in the family.

EFFECTS ON SCHOOL PLAN

A student who becomes pregnant can continue to attend school for a few months yet, but will always be forced to give up. In the best case, it will lose a school year, see failing an exam, but if it was not well attended, lack of schooling becomes inevitable. But if the monitoring is done well, it can take classes and be aware, she could return to a good level and pass normally....
