………………………In a first part………………………….(d’une part)…………………………It is true to say that……………………..(il est juste de dire que ) this new trend comes from the baby –boomer’s personal motivations………………indeed……………………..(En effet), they say they won’t retire because they like their jobs and, ……………moreover………………(de plus), they want to keep good salaries.

………………………in the same way……………………………….(d’autre part), ……………………we should not forget to mention………………………….(il ne faut pas oublier de mentionner) that there is a need for extra workforce as, ……firstly………(premièrement), a lot of people who will reach retirement age, ………and then………(puis) that firms will lose staff holding positions with responsabilities and experience, and ………finally………..(enfin) that people remaining in the labour force will be welcome to pay for taxes and social contributions as more and more money will be needed to pay for pensions and health care.

And …………to finish……………………(pour terminer), ………………we can affirm………………………(on peut affirmer que) the seniors are appreciated because they are ‘cheap’ manpower, who wish to work part-time, on missions, as entrepreneurs, with lower labour costs and benefits for employers compared to permanent staff.

And……………………………………….(le dernier et non le moindre), they are reliable employees, loyal ponctual and trustworthy.

So, now, let’s consider the prospects. ……………………………………(on peut affirmer que)…………………………

(jusqu’à un certain degré),in the years to come, companies and governments are likely to encourage workers not to retire, by pushing back the legal retirement age to 65, 70 and by giving financial incentives (motivations) to those who will choose to keep their jobs.
