Intro :
First, I'd like to give a definition of the notion "Myths and Heroes", a hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities but today we are going more specifically over the idea of myths which is a story that may or may not be true. There may not be records or other proof that they happened, but at least some parts of myths may be true. Some myths may have started as "true" stories but as people re-told them some parts may have been changed by mistake, or to make them more interesting
1 - The origine of immigration.
First of all we are going over the origine of immigration. Immigration can be define by the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country. There are many reasons of migrations but usually it is because : people doesn't find a job where they currently live or they don’t earn enough money due to the global economic crisis, it could be also in order to escape war or climatic problems like tsunami or dryness. So, they want to reside in a country where it seems easier to live and earning money. We can illustrate two of these examples throught a document : "The promised Land". This document is about an immigrant called Mohammed Al Damgha who leaved Damascus (Syria) to attempt to go to Britain. He wants to provide for his family, so once he would have earned enough money, then he could send to them.
Immigration is a major issue in London where nearly 25% of the population is non-white. Out of this 25%, 10% are Indian, Pakistani or Bengladeshi, which accounts for the biggest part. A lot of Indian and Pakistani people emigrated to Britain in the 50's after the partition of India and have done ever since. But what is the most migration flow reason?
