Strengths:
• Virgin’s group is more of a part of one big family than a hierarchy.
The companies actively help one another, and solutions to problems are often sourced from within the Group. In a sense they form a commonwealth, with shared ideas, values, interest and goals.
Virgin’s motivation is making a difference. They stand for value for money, quality, innovation, fun and a sense of competitive challenge. They thrive to do this by delivering a quality service by empowering their employees and facilitate and monitor customer feedbacks to continually improve the customer’s experience through innovation.
Virgin frequently creates partnerships with others and excels in combining skills, knowledge, and operational expertise from a range of industries to build exciting and successful companies.
Virgin’s model organization is to develop each businesses separately with its own shareholders and management in order to concentrate on their own work . But at the same time all of the strategic business units operate under the same patent.
Therefore every business unit shares the same ideas, values, interests, goals.
• Virgin Media is the only company in the United Kingdom that offers all four of the main media services:
- Digital television
- Broadband
- Fixed line telephone
- Mobile phone packages.
• The ability to offer these products all together in one bundle is the unique selling point of Virgin Media and its clearly sets the company apart from its competitors.
• Since the company is able to offer all these services at the same time, they are more competitive. 2 reasons explains this:

• They therefore combine many of their generic roles such as administration and finance, which make the company having a substantial economy of scale, and finally which allow them to price more competitively for the benefit of its customers.
