EUGENE SHUELLER (1881-1957)
• In 1907, Eugéne SCHUELLER (the L’Oreal’s creator) was a young chemist of Alsatian origin.
• Having been awarded in Paris, he developed in 1907 an innovative hair-color fromula.
• He called his dye Oreal. With that, the history of L’Oreal began.

• In 1909, Eugene Schueller found in Paris the frensh campagny « L’Oreal » with Mr. Andre Spery.
• In 1928, Eugène Schueller Corporation acquires French Soaps, « Monsavon ».
• In 1939, the company became a limited company with a brand that now will not change: L'Oreal
• In 1957, Eugène Schueller leaves his place of business leader to François Dalle.
• In 1963, the shares of L’Oreal are listed on the Paris Bourse.

• In 1976, François Dalle, the Chief Executive Officer, and Liliane Bettencourt, the founder's daughter and heiress of L’Oreal, create a major research complex in Clichy in the former factory premises Monsavon.
• Throughout the years, L’Oreal growing international products for products professionals, individuals, luxury goods and cosmetics.
• Now, L’Oreal is directed by Jean-Paul Agon, the fifth leader for a century.
