Today, I am going to talk about the biography of Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman, I have divided my presentation into: 3 parts

First, I would like to talk about his life. Second I will move to his career and finally, we will consider his final career.

So, let’s start with my first part, his life.

Alan Rickman was born on 21st February 1946 in London. He was a British actor. Alan Rickman died of pancreatic cancer on 14 January 2016 at the age of 69 in the same city. He got married in 2012, in New York, to his partner for more than forty five years, Rima Horton, a politician and a professor of economy with whom he was since the age of 19 years. They had no child. He lived in London.

Now, let’s move on to the second part, his career.

He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, performing in modern and classical theatre productions. He was known at the theater for his role as the Vicomte de Valmont in Dangerous Liaisons (1985). He met success in cinema in Die Hard in 1988.

Alan Rickman has other film roles: the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves, for which he received the BAFTA Award (Academy of Film and Television Arts) for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Finally, let’s consider his final career.

His final film roles are Lieutenant General Frank Benson in the thriller Eye in the Sky, and the Absolem (a voice role) in Alice through the Looking Glass.

To conclude, I have chosen this actor because I like his roles and his personality.
