I will present you Jean Moulin, who’s for me a hero.

Jean Moulin was born in 1899 and died in 1943. He was before the 2nd world war a politic man indeed he was the prefect of Chartres but when the war burst he refuses submit himself at the Germans and he condemns the signature of the armistice by Pétain so he enters on the resistance. In 1940 he joins England and met the General De Gaulle. The General appoint Jean as president of the CNR in order to unify and organize the resistance, the CNR it’s a big group where all little resistant group can be together to fight against Nazis. The first meeting of the CNR takes place on May 1943, in Paris but few times later the General Delestraint, a leader of the resistance was arrested by the Nazis so Jean Moulin organizes as a matter of urgency a meeting of the military persons in charge to Caluire, to get organized in the absence of Delestraint. On June 21st, 1943, the Gestapo invades the gathering place and arrests all the participants. Jean Moulin was betrayed and he is imprisoned in Lyon and tortured during several days. In spite of the abominable sufferings which he endures, he gives no information about the movement which he set up. He dies during his transfer in Germany, on July 8th, 1943

To my mind the quality he proved is merely leaderships because he was very strong to resist at the torture.
