Hello, I will introduce you to the role of women during the Second World War. first of all the main role of women during the war was to replace men in factories, farms …   but some had a more important role as working to win the war for example at bletchley park.

At first we will talk about the most classic work of women during the Second World War, we can see in the first two images two posters  that insites women to come to work to replace men, for example in the image on the left we can see women in business clothes rather destined to the man (farmer, policeman, doctor ...), and on the right image a woman calling the women of angle to come works in the factories . ( for example In England 90% of women worked in factories , farms and armed forced) but their work was done with a lot of economy (recycling, rationing...) because during the war many countries have debts that use a lot of money, which lead to food shortages ...

now we are going to look at Bletchley Park which is a place where many women are working during the Second World War to decipher the German code. Bletchley park is located in the middle of England next to London , it is a bletchley park that the machine enigma was invented by Allan Turing and his team, this place is now known but we know that during the war this work and the existence of this place was a secret, for this reason a lots of women thought they work in the shadows .

You can see the interview of women who worked at bletchley park  ,these women explains the work at bletchley park, the danger of work, they explain that each woman have a very precise task (communication, decryption ...), they did not see their wife during the wars, they could not talk to them and they did not have to tell their work to anyone

in bletchley park, only one woman was part of the allan turing team and this was Joan Clarke, this woman was the confidant of allan turing but also his wife, she helped stop the war and saved Thousands of innocents, so she was rewarded in 1947, Joan clarke became a heroine because she fought for the causes of women.

the history of alan turing has inspired many authors to make films about its history as "the imitation game" in 2014 but also many writers tell its story during the second world war

nowadays we can see that the second world war to leave traces as for example with the places of bletchley park or with the adaptations of the history of alan turing. but this is even more visible with the advancement in the causes of women who since the war are devnue much more equal to men, more and more we are witnessing a decrease of sexism in our society
