Speech of a democrat on the education

My fellow citizens,

I am very happy to be here with you tonight. I am your Democratic governor of Kansas and I would like to tell you about the education of our children.

It is a well-known fact that a first-rate system of public education is the basis of a prosperous, free and just society. However, millions of American children , particularly low-incomes and children in agricultural environments, are trapped in schools with deeply dysfunctional systems. Do you think God wants that our children haven’t the same chance in the life ? Do you think this is a correct situation ? We must let our children in such schools ? No, I don’t think.

That’s why tonight, I propose working with states to make high-quality preschool available to every child in America and in the rural communities. No parent want see his children without diplomas or work, isn’t it ? Therefore we have to make sure that everybody has a chance to get ahead in life. Because to grow our middle class, our children must have access to the education and training that today’s jobs require. 

We, Democrats believe that getting an education is the surest path to the success, so we give all students the opportunity to realize their dreams, which will contribute to our economy and our democracy. Public education is one of our basic democratic institutions. Thus, we are committed to ensuring that every child in America , especially in the agricultural sector, has access to a world-class public education. This requires excellence at every levels of our education system, from early learning through post-secondary education. It means we must close the achievement gap between different American schools and ensure that in every neighborhood in Kansas, children can benefit from high-quality educational opportunities. More specifically, we are committed to establish schools and structures to lead the agricultural sector to higher education. But also giving scholarships to the most destitute and proposing private tuitions to children with learning difficulties.

We, Democrats share with all parents the commitment to prepare our children to lead lives of happiness and success.

Consequently, if you want to be a doctor or a teacher, a police officer or a preacher, a nurse or a farmer, a lawyer or a member of our army, you'll need a good education for each of these careers. In short, no matter what you want to do with your life, education is the key to success.

To conclude thanks to your votes we want to make the Democratic Party the champion of public education. That’s why I rely on your support during the elections !
