their own devices? Do you confirm?
Lilian - Yes, he thinks it's a great idea but I really think it's not safe at all. What do you think
about that change?
L - Oh.. Yes I think it's bad if employees don't know risks
Lilian - That what I’m thinking about, if they bring their own devices, important information
can be leaked because they bring them to their home. It means, security problems, risk of
data leaks.
L - Exactly but this is not the only problem. People can lose time because if they bring own
devices they need to connect devices and fix compatibility problems
People also need to be aware of the problems associated with new technology.
Lilian - I don't think there are good parts of this idea. We just need to abort this because
there are too many problems according to what we said.
L- I can explain more precisely the risk if you want
Lilian - Yes, it can help to understand clearly what it means.
L - People can have viruses on their own devices and share them to the company
Viruses can leak information or just steal and ask for a ransom
Employees can forget to protect their own devices even a keyboard!

L - To improve the security you can connect computers to a VPN, it able computers to have
a different IP address around the world.
Lilian - Maybe you can explain clearly what is a 'VPN' and what 'IP' means?
L - A VPN (virtual private network) gives you online privacy and anonymity by creating a
private network from a public internet connection. It masks IP(internet protocol) address and
hides your action on internet
And an IP Address is an address of your network hardware. It helps in connecting your
computer to other devices on your network and all over the world. An IP Address is made up
of numbers or characters.
Lilian - Can these things help us to avoid every problem we talked about? If you really think it
can't help we're not going to authorize employees to bring their devices.
