This story is taken from a true experience .The story started in 1981.

A small family of Chris Gardner with his wife, Linda and his five year old son, Christopher lived in small apartment. Chris was a salesman of a bone scanner machine while Linda worked for a laundry service. However, Chris could not make money as much as Linda hoped because the machines are expensive enough for doctors to buy.

           Quarrel between Chris and Linda often happened when they had much burden for paying the apartment rent as well as taxes. Chris also had to pay the fine of his careless parking. They did not have enough money to pay. In the hopeless situation, Linda decided to leave Chris. Struggling to make ends meet, Gardner finds himself and his five-year-old son evicted from their San Francisco apartment with nowhere to go. When Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, he and his son endure many hardships, including living in shelters, in pursuit of his dream of a better life for the two of them.

There is a Good rhythm and script with emotional parts that do not let you lose interest in the film. The plot is striking, makes us aware of the difficulties that some people encounter in everyday life. Through this credibility of situations and feelings, we follow the struggle of this single father who tries to escape by all means, and who has sometimes cried, which changes what we usually see in movies: " the strong man who never cries.

Excellent performance by will smith, winning our hearts by giving seriousness, intelligence, charm and humor to the role

Moving, captivating, this pursuit of happiness is a great message of courage, self-confidence and love, it shows us how difficult life can be, but we should not give up. Chris Gardner fought for her dream, even after facing many failers, he did not give up until the end because it was worth it and because he had no choice. Indeed ad, nowadays the gap between rich people and poor people is growing and either you are part of the high society or you are stuck with the weak. The world out there is a jungle, he needed to fight for him and for his son. the film also shows that anyone in America can rise to the economic success through hard work. Gardner wanted to make her american dream come true, after meeting a broker, Jay Twistle who define the amercian dream.

More over, as in several other Hollywood films, the issue of racism is discussed: chris is distinguished from all other trainees because he is african-american. He is therefore considered inferior, as for example in the scene where his boss asks him to move his car despite the fact that Chris has an important appointment or when he says that he can not solve the Rubik's Cube.

However, for the technical aspects, lighting and colors are not very often used. But when they are used , they create a big impact when setting the mood of the scene. We also have a close view of chris in order to show his deepest emotions. The sound makes the scene more emotional and shows there importance.

All the combined elements create a harmony, and make the scenes more emotionnal

The end whas not well elaborated, they could’ve showed us when chris and his son became rich it was frustrating but it gives a great motivation, pushes
