Similarities Between Cote D'Ivoire And Saudia Arabia

At the first aspect, Cote d’Ivoire and Saudia Arabia are two countries totally opposed. Not only on their location; the first is located in West Africa, the second is located in the Middle-East; but also on their policy system, Cote d’Ivoire has a President while Saudia Arabia has a King. But when we look at the education system, they have many siblings.

School years are divided in the same way in these 2 countries. The school years owed 12 years and are divided as 6 years for the elementary, 4 years for the junior high school, and 3 years for the high school. After these steps students go to the College or the University, generally in both of them, student leave their parents and fly away to another country for their University years.

In these 2 countries students have to spend between 3 to 5 hours for their homework.

The academic subjects are the same for each step of the school years. They studied almost everything from the History-geography adapt to their country, to the Mathematics crossing by the grammar. Teachers have training them by lessons. They grade their students by note or marks in these 2 countries not by letters “A, B, C, or D” like in USA, but by marks based on 20 points questions. The classroom atmosphere is formal; students have to stand up to answer the question, when the teachers enter the room, they have to stay quiet and have respect to the teacher. Teachers can punish them until the start of the junior high school.

To accentuate the respect for their teachers, students might wear uniforms whether is in Saudia Arabia or in Cote d’Ivoire.

In my opinion, there is many siblings between Saudia Arabian system of education and Ivorian system; but does it means that they have the same education?
