Présentation de l'oeuvre.

Campbell's soup cans est une œuvre réalisée en 1962 par Andy Warhol. Elle est constituée de 32 petits tableaux de 50,8x40,6 cm. Elle est exposée au MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) à New York. Warhol présenta ce travail le 9 juillet 1962 lors de sa première exposition en tant qu’artiste, à la galerie « Ferus » de Los Angeles en Californie. Cette exposition marquera le début du Pop Art sur la côte Est des États-Unis.

  Les peintures individuelles ont été fabriquées avec un procédé sérigraphique semi-mécanique, dans un style non pictural (la sérigraphie est un procédé d'impression au pochoir utilisant un écran de soie). le titre indique ce qui est représenté il ne commente pas il est neutre

style illustratif et réaliste au sens ou il présente des boite de soupe

le rouge et le blanc dominent et du doré pour le médaillon au centre. les boite sont représenté sur un fond blanc il garde la couleur d'origine des boite Campbell.

C'est une œuvre pop art, elle est réaliste et concrète.

Andy Warhol était considéré comme le père du Pop Art ! Le Pop Art est un mouvement artistique crée en Grande Bretagne et dont Richard Hamilton fut l'un des premiers représentants.

L'œuvre Campbell's soup cans, basée sur des thèmes de la culture populaire, a contribué à faire du pop art un mouvement artistique majeur aux États-Unis.

Campbell's soup cans is a work created in 1962 by Andy Warhol. It consists of 32 small paintings 50,8x40,6 cm. It is exposed at the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. Warhol presented this work July 9, 1962 at its first exhibition as an artist, the gallery "Ferus" of Los Angeles, California. This exhibition will mark the beginning of Pop Art on the East Coast of the United States.

Individual paintings were made with a semi-mechanical silkscreen process in a non-pictorial style (screen printing is a printing process using a stencil silk screen). the title says what is shown it does not comment it is neutral

illustrative and realistic style in the sense that it presents box of soup

red and white dominate and golden for the medallion in the center. the box are represented on a white background it keeps the original color of Campbell box.

It is a work pop art, it is realistic and concrete.

Andy Warhol was considered the father of Pop Art! Pop art is an art movement founded in Great Britain and including Richard Hamilton was one of the first representatives.
