HISTORY:

Mr Bean is a British television series in 14 episodes of 30 minutes, created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, and spread between January 1st, 1990 and December 15th, 1995 on the network ITV1. In France, the series was broadcast from 1993.

It stages the character of Mr Bean, created by Rowan Atkinson (who plays himself Mr Bean's role) while he was at the university. It is, as describes him his creator, about a " child in the body of an adult " for whom any event of the daily life becomes a source of troubles and sometimes takes unsuspected proportions. He is also characterized by his trend to find a totally improbable solution in his problems.

The series knew good audiences in the United Kingdom and was rewarded to the Festival of Rose d' Or. Spread in 200 countries, the series gave rise to two movies (Bean and Mr Bean's holidays) as well as in a spread livened up series.

The series stages Mr Bean, accompanied by its teddy bear Teddy, he has to face unexpected situations (exchange of pants or heart attack of a passer-by for example). He also has certain gift to make complicated certain things nevertheless simple as to get ready a sandwich, to repaint his apartment or to prepare his luggage. With an almost total absence of dialogue, its adventures rest on his funny exploit.

PERSONNAGES:

Mr Bean: The a little bit clumsy, sometimes ingenious eccentric central figure, and often selfish but who knows also how to show himself affectionate (in particular to his teddy bear). He lives to Highbury, in the North of London where he occupies a small apartment. He carries generally a brown suit in tweed, a red tie, a too short brown pants.

Teddy: Teddy is the teddy bear of Bean, which considers him as a friend. Chestnut sinks and often damaged, Bean sometimes behaves with him as if he was alive: he speaks to him, he leaves him a straw so that he can breathe before crossing him in the washing machine, half-opens the window when he leaves him in the car, offers him glasses to read a band drawn by Astérix or offers him a present to Christmas. He even makes him take a competition of training of animals.

Car: Mr Bean's car occupies such a place in the episodes as it is finally one of the characters of the series. In the first episode, it is a question of Mini one 1000 orange which finishes in a ditch during the credits. Afterward, the car is yellow acid green) and black.During the series, Mr Bean shows himself also constantly aggressive to another car, one Connecting Delight blue three-wheeled until go to take him his place by pushing her in a ravine during the episode Mr Bean or on the side .

Hubert and Rupert: It is two friends of Mr Bean that are invited at his home on December 31st, 1993 for the Christmas Eve of the new year of 1994.
