Unfortunately, after the assassination of his powerful godfather, the unwitting Cornelius was caught up in deadly political intrigue and is falsely accused of high treason by a bitter rival. Condemned to life imprisonment, his only comfort was Rosa, the jailer's beautiful daughter and together they concoct a plan to grow this tulip.

Definition:

Nomophobia is an abbreviation for “no-mobile-phone phobia,” it designates the irrational fear of being without your mobile phone or being unable to use your phone for some reason, such as the absence of a signal or running out of minutes or battery power.

This kind of phobia was discovered in a study in 2010 in the UK.

Statistics + Everyday acts

Have you ever slept without having your smart phone next to you?

Actually, 65% of teenagers can’t be separated from their phones even if they’re sleeping.

Would you answer a phone call during intimacy with your partner?

34% of people admitted doing it.

Would you rather go without your shoes for a week or take a break from your phone?

1 in 5 people preferred staying barefeeted.

We consider these acts somehow an addiction, and a full 66% of the people suffer from nomophobia.

Symptoms + and what triggers them

Nomophobia may sound trivial, but its effects are the same as any phobia, especially that it’s not an avoidable one as for example: the spiders fear. Some of the physical symptoms might be: Panic attacks, dizziness, sweating, chest pain and trembling.

Losing or leaving your cell phone at home is not the only trigger that leads to these symptoms. Going into areas with no signal, a dead cell phone battery and even voluntarily switching the cell phone off could send the sufferer into a panicked frenzy.

Causes:

There’s no formal established causes for nomophobia, therefore it depends on the situation itself in which the person is but also on different criteria, such as social and psychological factors determined by personal experiences.

Final Solution

Our suggested solution is the following:

As we all know nowadays, that smart phones are taking big part of our daily life so it might be impossible to stop using them. The only way to avoid falling into nomophobia will be by setting up a balanced approach towards phones.
