I will tell you about Nelson Mandela. I chose this person because Nelson Mendela was one of the most famous and loved leaders in the world. He was a symbol of the struggle for racial equality.

So, my question is why Nelson Mandela is the symbol of peace ?

Finally, I will explain you why Nelson Mandela is my hero

Nelson Mandela was born in nineteen hundred and eighteen in Mvezo, South Africa. He died in two thousand thirteen in Johannesburg. He had six children and three women. Nelson Mandela was a lawyer and he open South Africa’s first black law practice

I chose this person because Nelson Mandela dedicated his life to the Struggle for racial equality in South Africa. He was imprisoned in Robben Island, today the prison is a museum. He spent twenty-seven years in prison for opposing the South Africa system of segregation called apartheid. In one thousand nine hundred and ninety-four he became the first ever democratically elected president and Nelson Mandela became the first black president of South Africa.

Nelson Mandela is my hero his story has come universal. I like him for what he has accomplished not just for South Africans but for all people. Nelson Mandela is my hero because he triumphed over injustice. He sacrificed his own freedom. He received the nobel peace prize. He was now a symbol of peace.

To conclude, today thanks to the sacrifice of Mister Mandela, Apartheid has ended. Everyone in South Africa now has an equal opportunity at work, at school to good life.
