YOUR FILM REVIEW : The Labyrinth
You are a film critic : write the review of a film you like and saw in English (with subtitles or not).
To help you be thorough (= complet), answer the following questions :

1. Sum up (= résumer) the plot (= story). 8 points
The film begins with Thomas is an elevator which going so fast than he loses consciousness. When he wakes up, he is surrounded by 20 men who watch him. Thomas quickly realizes that he is in a vast land with 4 giants door which closes every evening and opens to a maze with gigantic steel monsters. They also tell him that every month, a new man arrives here with the elevator. None of them remember their life before the maze. There all have a different “job” to do. Some have to cultivate some vegetables to eat, some have to build huts and finally, a little part of them, the runners, have to run into the maze to try to find a way to get out of it. Thomas, immediately wants to be a runner. So with Minho, a other runner, they go into the maze every days and Thomas finally find a huge door but they have to find some battery that are into steel monsters. When Thomas and Minho get out, the explain this to the other. So the next day, they decide to all go into the maze, kill steel monsters and finally open the door and behind find a world devasted by a deadly virus and just after, an helicopter came to take them.

2.  Who are the main characters ? 2 points
The main characters are obviously Thomas, a runner, Minho, a runner too, Newt, the best friend of Thomas (Spoiler: he die in Labyrinth 3), Chuck, the new guy before Thomas and finally Alby, the chef because he was the first who arrives in the maze.

3. Describe the setting(s) (= décor(s)). 2 points
We can see in the movie a vast land with one huge three in the middle. There is also a big guard tower to see if the steel monsters get out and attack them, and there is all around a little forest. All this is surrounded by 4 giants door and behind these doors a constantly moving maze. Inside of it, there are just steel monsters and huge wall that moves to imprison them and sometimes they found the death body of the runners who were attacked by steel monsters.

4. Write a few words about the music. 2 points
There is not a lot of music when they are in the land but when they are inside the labyrinth, we can hear some creepy screams of the steel monsters or the squeaks of the moving walls. In general, there is always some loud noises that make us jump.

5. Write a few words about the photography. 2 points
On the photography, we can see Thomas with 3 other people and behind them, the maze seen from above. They seem very serious and they all look at the same place. Below them, the is of course the title of the movie, Le Labyrinthe.

6. Give your opinion on the actors. Do you have a favourite ? Why ? 2 points
This film is my favourite specially because the actors play their role wonderfully and it makes it a lot more real. I don’t have a favourite actor because for me, they all play very good their role and I like equally all of them. They also all have a different role in the movie, none of them is less important than another.

7. Give ONE meaningful argument (in ONE sentence) to encourage your friends to go and watch it. 2 points
In the middle of the movie,  Minho can’t get out of the labyrinth before the evening because he’s hurt so Thomas hurries to run in the maze to help him but none on them get out and the maze get close until the next evening. Thomas and Mihno have to survive one night alone in the maze, something that no runners have done before. During this night, they found the way to get out of the maze.
This sentence is for me the best of the movie because it’s so exciting and creepy. I would encourage my friends to go and watch this movie because of this sentence.
