The ecological city and Greta Thunberg

1. For me, San Francisco is the best of the ten most eco-friendly cities.

This city has been committed to ecology for decades: it was the capital of the hippie movement. San Francisco was also the first city in the United States to implement the system of recycling colored bins in homes and workplaces, making recycling easy and accessible and mandatory.

In addition, San Francisco has implemented a remarkable public transportation system and encourages its citizens to drive electric cars as much as possible.

San Francisco's architecture, with its Victorian houses, Italianate style and stick houses make the city even more attractive.

Finally, the Alcatraz federal prison, which is a historical prison that held Al Capone and which I find very mysterious, also made me choose this city.

1. For me Greta Thunberg is not the solution to our climate problems and she has never claimed to be, yes she can annoy a lot of people because she points out things that disturb and question our system and our habits, and no she has not invented anything except that she has managed to get more people talking about her than any climate scientist has managed to do, but she has the courage to speak in front of politicians and millions of people.

If her action can serve as an example, it is only a bonus and we must admit that her action is increasingly being relayed by the world.

But, despite some exaggerations and very apocalyptic speeches (such as the one in the European Parliament in April 2019. Personally, I have heard a lot about this speech, and what she said touched me despite the fact that her speech was extremely frank and that it may come as a shock. So I became aware of the importance of the future of our planet and I acted accordingly because everyone can help this cause on their own scale because every small changes accumulated make a big change.) that have pushed her to do absurd things in the name of the image she wants to continue to carry, I find that she spreads her ideas and those of the climatologists behind her well.

I think that this must continue and that it must grow, because as a result of the various climate problems in the world, we are witnessing the 6th mass extinction and the rate of extinction is up to ten thousand times faster than what is considered normal, with up to 200 species disappearing every day.  

Indeed, many people want to change the tragic future of the Earth, that is why Greta Thunberg proposed to opt for a world that spends very little on fossil energy and resources, but unfortunately very few people are willing to make this sacrifice.

This is why we must continue to raise awareness. Future generations may have a real will that we ourselves have not managed to have and this is thanks to what she is doing in part today.
