LONDON IN THE 1960s PRESENTATION

Today, i'll try to present our lesson that we've talked about throughout these days & as you know that our teacher showed us a lot of information that we need to know, like the cover of Time magazine that shows us the 1960s music & fashion and we've also worked on the important changes of the 60s. First of all The Swinging Sixties was a youth movement emphasising the new and modern. It was a period of optimism and hedonism, and a cultural revolution. One catalyst was the recovery of the British economy after post-Second World War austerity. One of the biggest defining aspects of the 60s was music. Swinging London was underway by the mid-1960s and included music by The Rolling Stones, The Who, & The Beatles were an excellent example of how music influenced the lives of young Britons. NOW we refer another important point of the 1960 was fashion, when we talk about fashion it means we're talking about Mary Quant that she became famous for popularising the mini skirt which became the epitome of the 60s fashion. & she made London the fashion capital of the world & this was one of the biggest changes in London in the 1960s. we should also mention some other important dates like 1966 when England won the World Cup, 1969 when the first men stepped on the moon and finally when Harold Wilson came to power in 1964 who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. well we should also mention some other changes as there were such a powerful economic and cultural force, there were no more women as housewives cause anyone can find a job for himself no matter what a man or a woman... so i think i've said all i have thanks for listening..
