- At MIT, we bring people together to better the lives of others. MIT students work to improve their communities in different ways, from tackling the world’s biggest challenges to being a good friend. Describe one way in which you have contributed to your community, whether in your family, the classroom, your neighborhood, etc. (200-250 words)
Aid can be given for personal interests or for the good of all. I have participated in several charity events, and also helped people out on a more personal level, such as helping classmates understand lessons. And this for helping them to move forward and have not only a better life now, but also for their future.
Indeed I helped, besides at school, for example collecting school clothes for the underprivileged children of the Atlas region, or setting up a talent show consisting of raising funds for an association in collaboration with the school, in which I performed one of my passions: magic. Or the time when I coached a little league team. I helped them to forge a competitive spirit and also improve their team game while accompanying them to competitions. I also helped, together with my friends, preparing meals in an association for the poor.
I can mention other instances of community work, as when I took care of the homeless in our neighborhood, the times I helped the animals in the SFT-animal sanctuary, or even the sports and dietary support and follow-ups that I put in place for my cousin and my friends, among others. However, it will be too long for you to read. The importance in these acts does not lie in the action itself but in its repercussions on the lives of the people concerned.
Indeed my primary goal was not to satisfy a personal ego, rather to help people who really needed it.

I have been passionate about innovation since childhood. I dismantled and reassembled my first computers before mastering the French grammar. I have always liked to understand how objects work and make them more logical, functional and energy-efficient.
My dream is to become a computer engineer, specialized in embedded computer systems essential for developing many technologies allowing us to reduce costs in industry, develop medical tools, automatically regulate heat in a greenhouse, making sure vegetables grow in optimal conditions, revolutionizing our lives.
MIT can allow me to be part of the UROP program for research projects, and be part of evolution.

- Tell us about the most significant challenge you’ve faced or something important that didn’t go according to plan. How did you manage the situation? (200-250 words)
While I was running a theater play at school, I was confronted with many problems. For example, the various technical components of the stage did not go together, the actors quarreled constantly and they did not do the best they could. The more technical aspects of the play were far from complete and gradually everything turned into a real mess! I was the director, which meant that I had to tell the actors when they had to go on stage as well as instruct the technical team about the elements to put into place. It was quite a difficult task for a young person like me. So I did my best to organize everything and asked the participants to perform specific tasks using a firm but at the same time positive and motivating tone. The members of the troupe began to enjoy what they were doing and the production was finally very well done. The show was even sold out! The play was considered one of the best shows this group had ever performed. I learned a lot of this experience and I was able to use some positive people management in other activities that dealt with decision-making and required leadership.
